"I'm still considered a new artist in some places and it doesn't bother me, because that means people are still getting to know me and I'm happy for that," said the singer to private radio station Caracol in Bogota.
Venegas won three Muses in Mexico's Oye Awards last year, as well as three "tongues" in MTV Latin America VMA as Artist of the Year, Best Solo Artist and Best Solo Artist (Mexico).
The also Latin Grammy winner for "Best Rock Album", said to be happy by the honors she has received in the last months, and "mainly by the audience response."
The Mexican will offer a concert this Friday in Bogota's Fair Corporation, alongside Argentinean Diego Torres and will travel to Cali the next day, for a second performance.
Venegas anticipated that during her Colombian dates, she will present her latest album "Si", mixed with old favorites, to please her fans attending the two concerts scheduled for Cali and Bogota.
"I like people to know what I've done through my music career," emphasized the Mexican artist.
Although Venegas and Torres will perform separately, it is very likely they will duet on "Sueños", a song currently topping the charts in Colombia.
Torres, whose song "Color Esperanza" obtained great sales in Colombia, sang a duet with the Mexican in his Unplugged album and since then they've worked together in several concerts. NTX
