There was also a melting pot of musical styles on the radio: Motown soul, James Brown, the Beach Boys, the Byrds. After going to his first concert – Jimi Hendrix at the Hollywood Bowl – young Perez was hooked.

I've actually never heard of these guys...

Yup, these guys are all good Musicos. and I agree, they can play just about anything. I never got to see them play Live though... that would be an pretty awesome thing to see. that's cool, Pep.. you seem a like a big fan of them. I ran into one of thier forums a month ago or so. not sure if it was an official one or not. maybe it was a fan site. but it was simple and clean. phpbb of course. 8)
