TJ to get $300 Million Auto Plant in '09

As a TJ native i'm happy for them, I mean its better than nothing, and maybe this will be the beginning of greater things to come.

Of course, Mexicans have to--or should--worry that foreign interests won't negatively affect domestic politics (e.g. environmental issues). Of course, that is for the Mexicans to work out. What does suck for some Mexicans is that since most companies are looking to ship a lot of their products north, they tend to set-up shop in northern Mexico. So while the northern Mexico seems to be benefiting from NAFTA southern Mexico still languishes in economic poverty.

My husband's job is going to move all their production to Monterry. At least 1,000 people are going to lose their jobs in a couple of years. Michigan is crippled right now and I cant imagine what its going to do to to all those families. :jumm:

THey are also doing a joint venuture in China as well. Globalism is just a unstopable driving force. Communism has failed everywhere its been tried. World goervnments just want to make money. dolla dolla bills :lol:
