You could say that we did experiance an "one-state recesssion" the past couple of years. we have been losing jobs and having higher unemployment rate since 2000. with GM and Ford cutting jobs and closing plants, it a ripple affect. we had the worst economy in the US... now it's looking like we are ALL in a giant slump.

I think about it everyday. Trust me, no jobs and the worst weather you can imagine. Many latinos migrated to this state when the automotive boom happend in the 1970's which is how my family came here from Texas.

My husband job has us here. They have a strong international base, particulary in Mexico. The word is they are going to transfer him to Monterrey Mexico in the comming year or 2009 ( he is an engineer). Thats gonna be a curve ball in our marriage for sure. :thinking:

for some reason moving back to mexico sounds good right now
