![[Rosa]](images/smiles/53.gif "Rosa") I am the fire that burns within your soul, the reflection you see within yourself . The spirit of Los Aztecas and the beating of your heart. I am also the mystery of the wind, the murmur of the sea, and the swirling fire within the darkness.
The footsteps you hear but never see, the mist that rises over the land of the free. I am the scent of the barrio, and the smile on the shopkeepers face. I am the brown skin of my people, and the laughter of the children as they play, beneath an endless blue sky.
The toothless grin of the old one, and the chongo upon a baby girl, I am the eternal song you sing within yourself each day. I am the rose in spring and the cold winter breeze you feel, as you tuck yourself to sleep upon a cold winter night.
Yes I am all these things, and much more, like the corn that grows so tall then gives its all, to nurture you, I flow within your veins forever. For I am the fire that burns within you, the part of La Raza which can never be controlled. I am the desire which feeds the flames within your spirit evermore, I am - Chicano Fire!
