Can I make the calendar disappear from the forum page?
You can close the Calendar by going to User CP under Forum settings click on Edit Calendar and check; Display the calendar row on the board header opened to NO.

How do I submit an Calendar event?
If you can set up a poll, you can set up a calendar event. it is that easy!
Select Month, date and year. Time is optional.
Duration - How long will this even last?
Does my event have to be up for discussion?
That would be up to you. Regardless, people will be able to post a reply to your event unless
the topic is requested to be locked.
Why can't I see the calendar option in other forums?
Submitting events to certain forums is not available.
What's with the members on the Calendar?
Those are up coming birthdays marked on the calendar. This is activated when you choose your Birthday date.
You can have the date changed by contacting an Administrator or Moderator
