IF you give a mouse a cookie is such a good book, along with If you give a pig a pancake, and if you give a moose a muffin! Those are great children books!

Righ now, my son Javier is into Where's Spot and any kind of Animal books!

What is "If you give a mouse a cookie" about? what, in your opinion, make them good books for Childern?

Maybe, when you read it youll like it.... Pero I like it because, its cute and the mouse explores human things, like coloring, writing, having a hair cut, taking a bath....so on. When I read it to Javier, (spanish version(they have the books in engilsh and spanish)) I compare the mouse and what he does to the things that Javier does, like taking a bath, or coloring...for example: telling Javier, he colors with crayons like the mouse and he uses soap like the mouse when taking baths. You get the picture? Plus its CUTE! []

I still read a lot of children's books. From picture books to young adult books. Basically I just read a lot.

One of my personal favourites is the story about a little mole who tries to find out who has been poo-ing on his head. I remember this book from my own childhood and what kid doesnt love to laugh about poo.

It's educational though... No, really! The mole goes by every animal and asks them, wile pointing to his head where the turd is still situated, if that is theirs. Then they show him that their poo looks different than what he has on his head.

It's originally a german book by Holzwarth and Erlbruch. (Apparently has been translated as the story of the little mole who knew it was none of his business)
