Smiley n' Normies: Thank you...I guess I'm more nervous than anything, I just want things to go well.
Mucho and Silly: Ay, I don't know where to begin...
No, I haven't seen my doctor, through the university they offer some pretty good services (pregnancy testing), but I have made an appointment to see my doctor asap.
Where can you find those pills? How often do you take them?
I'm just curious more about foods or things I should or shouldn't do. As a family we were sitting and some are like "yeah mija, come mas chile para que sale el bebe con mucho pelo" and another says "no, le puede hacer mal a los dos" ![[]](images/smiles/1087.gif) I've been waking up sick, don't know what to take.
Did you all ever avoid foods? curious?

Well let me tell you about my pregnancy....
I got Pregnant in November 2000. Around the middle of December I noticed that I didn't get my period, until one day I just spotted and I started worring. I told my ma and my ma said "well maybe your pregnant" I was like yeah whatever, so I waited mmm I say about a week to see what happened, and I still didn't get my period so my ma took me to planned parenthood to get a test done, and sure enough I was! My ma started crying so I started crying and it was all gravy. I still remember the date, Dec. 28, 2006. Juan was in Mexico at the time. He spent 2 weeks over there for Christmas, so he didn't know....I'm such a loser...I wanted it to be a surprise, so I called him when he was already in Texas ready to come home like in 2 days and I told him that I got real sick but I didn't want him to worry because I was going to be ok and what not, so that same night he came home because he was worried about me ![[]](images/smiles/smiley9.gif) Well when he got there I was looking all sad and just handed him a present, it was a onesie with a little duck that read: I love daddy. Of course he was clueless ![[Rolling Eyes]](images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif "Rolling Eyes") me dijo "que es esto"? and I told him we're ganna have a baby!!!! LOL, it was so sweet.
So I made an appt. with my doc and everything went pretty smooth, until I was about say 2 or 3 months. I didn't eat much, I was losing weight instead of gaining weight. I didn't have morning sickness, I think I only threw up once, and that's because I was craving lemon with salt, and I ate like 3! but then when I got up to throw the cascara away I threw it all up!! ![[Wuakala!]](images/smiles/smiley11.gif "Wuakala!") maybe about the 5th month, everything was good. I ate pretty much everything, I've heard about the chile being bad for you and baby, but I remember eating chile and nothing happened to me. I did get a lot of heartburn but that wasn't too extreme.
About the prenatal pills (The Scoop about Prenatal Vitamins) I think it's important to drink them, and I think nowadays you can purchase some over the counter. Or your doc. can give you a perscription. I drank them from the get-go, but around the second week of my 8th month, I was getting some really bad pains in my side, I went to see my doc and she said to stop the vitamins because they were making me constipated, and I had a piece of stool stuck in my side, so she sent me to get a emergency ultrasound. Thank God I went because I didn't have no fluids for the baby and they couldn't even find my water bag!!! So they had to induce me 2 weeks early.
I was in the hospital for 4 days, 2 giving birth. It took forever for them to find my water bag, until they found it and they were going to pop it on a saturday and they found it on a thursday! I was so mad, because I was tired of just laying there with my side hurting like a %&^*!!! I couldn't even walk...so when the doc came and told me about the bag popping, I was depressed! as soon as she walked out the door, my water bag popped. It was funny because my ma was sitting next to me and I told her, "ma, I just farted from the inside"....and after I said that water just gushed out! (LOL, sorry guys if your reading) so my ma ran after the doc and they started giving me high dosages of potasium(sp?) so couple of hours later the baby was stressed out and didn't want to come down anymore so the doc told me they might have to do an emergancy c-section! I was sooooo scared. They gave me the epidural and got me ready for a c-section, when things turned around and the nurse checked me and she could see the head, I didn't feel much because I was numb waste down....but I was sure happy I didn't have to have a c-section! So the doc came and deliverd my baby. I did pretty good, I still felt the pain after the numbing went away but they gave me some big red pill that made me poop and it felt great because I hadn't pooped in like 3 weeks!!!
After all that, I went home 2 days later. I hope I didn't scare you, but I just wanted to let you know that like Mucho said, every Pregnany is diff, and soon you will find out! Just be patient and follow the rules your doc tells, let him examen you and he'll be the better judge of what you should and shouldn't do. Also along they way as the months go by you'll also know what's good for you and what's not. People can give out so much advice to a pregnant woman, but in the end you'll know what to do. If you feel like eating chile, eat it! and if it makes your stomach upset or if you feel sick, then next time you won't want to even look at it. I suppose you learn as you go!

thanks silly and mucho...you both answered questions that had me thinking. i guess i'm just nervous and excited, my sister says wait and in a few months i won't be so excited...
