I had one.. Back in 96...eek that was a looooong time ago! I'm the first born so I had it big. We Had Mariachi, conjunto and a DJ ALL 14 Damas and chambelanes.The party continued at my house untill the next day! It was fun! _________________

Dedra you look so pretty!! I didn't have a quince either. My parents went all out on my sisters, who is five years older than me. Then a couple of years after that my dad was laid off from work?! But I didn't really want one anyway's...I don't know why.... I got an 18th party instead. Mariachi baby!! I loved it!!

Ana, that is EXACLTY what happend with me too. My sister who is also five years older than me had a big ass qunice. When came my turn, my dad wasnt doing so well either. I would have wanted one which is that sad part, but oh well. I guess ill have maricahi's for my wedding..that is if i do ever get married!! [Rolling Eyes]

Yeah... My sisters got screwed....My dad was laid off a year before thier 15 and found a job short before and could 'nt afford one.... besides no one wanted to be padrinos since they are rude, imature and mean people.... They still are and they turn 20 in a couple of days ( they're twins) _________________

I guess I would have liked to have a quinceaÃ±era, but I never had one. We've always had issues with money, and then mi familia is so weird when it comes to parties, so that would have been a lot of negativity and chaos. Oh well though, none of mi primas had one either, so I don't really feel left out.

My Mother gave me a choice. To have a party or go to Mexico. To visit my family where I was born, in Michocan, and go to Acapulco afterwards. I figured the trip would last longer than a Quinceanera would and besides, I probably wouldn't get another chance to see my biological father's family again. I got to see my grandfather and my aunt. Whom a few years later, passed away. I never went back after that trip. I would haven't it any other way. I'm glad I picked to visit my familia in Michoacan and go to Acapulco than a actual party. When you're young you just want a party. It's the hype. I'm so glad I was wiser in decisions. So I don't feel bad that I didn't have a party. No biggie! _________________

i'm planning my little sisters party it's not untill September 2007 but need to get everything a year in advance. I love planning parties, but i know it can go crazy at times, hopefully everything goes well...
