MS - 13 Gang, Not worth it people.

Postby chicano on Tue, Nov 14 2006, 5:46 AM

I came across this last night. It's crazy, MS - 13 gang, Mara Salvatruchas. There are 5 parts to it, these are all 5 parts. Gangs = Not worth it

Lisa Ling:Thumbsup: Very good documentary. I usually dont like to hear about gang shit, but, this is pretty good/informative.
That pregnant girl that was cut up was pretty ignorant. Snitching to the feds yet partying with gangs and the money the feds gave her :doh!:

geez, talk about nation wide. You would think law enforcement would be more protective of city owned public propertiy. :jumm: Come on.....busniness paying protection fee's for these gangs. Its really sad to see Latinos, especially chicanos set themselves back like this. You want to see the best for your people and to see them progress...... :#:

“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.” –Emerson

[shadow=black][glow=black] It's crazy how most people think that joining a gang is all fun and games, but when they join it..they end up regretting it. If you snitch you die..wow, HOW FUN.[/shadow][/glow]

wow....that's a real eye opener!

Eight years old....and getting beat like that! If i scraped my knee at eight i wanted to cry!

It's amazing how fast kids want to grow up now a days and it's even more amazing how the streets make them grow up even quicker! it's sad! :lloroso:

It is a scary gang. i watched a documentary on them a while back on Primer Impacto! It's crazy how much strength and power they have! How much fear they are able to put into others!!! And how much "pride" they have in their gang that they are willing to do ANYTHING to keep it strong!

When i was in Mexico, my cousins were telling us how in one area of Mexico City, where the majority of Centro Americanos are at, that MS-13 is becoming a major problem!!! And how they are beginning to move across to other parts as well!!!

It's scary to think that everyday this is becoming a bigger issue! It's a scary thought to think what this place is coming to. Even more so when you have little eight year olds growing up thinking this is the way to be.....and in some cases, the only way to be!!!!!

Scary stuff....it makes you think!!!

Sure does, what's even more scary is that if we don't do something about this, they can end up declaring a state of emergency..soon you won't even be able to go outside without having to fear for your life. Like they said, it's a virus..and it's spreading. What happens when a virus spreads all over your computer? The computer won't turn back on. What happened with the Ebola virus in Africa? Killed thousands of people. Anti Gang programs aren't enough these days.

you're right! it's doesn't seem like it's enough anymore! But what do you do when they are literally taking over cities, or atleast trying too! Little by little they are finding a way to do it and get away with it!
If they don't figure out something quick, it will be too late for a lot of cities! The more power they obtain, the worse off it's going to end up!
But as big as this gang is becoming, it's kind of hard to figure out how to stop something that is spreading just a like a virus! It's hard to stop something so strong that's already making their mark and marking their territory!!!!

Yeah that's true, even though sometimes police try and stop them by arresting a couple of people for warrents or whatever. It won't be enough. Just too many, some of the major gangs are in Los Angeles. Like Florencia 13, MS -13, 18 street. Los Angeles is literally too crazy to live in.

it seems like it's getting that way! It seems like it's getting to be, you pay your dues or you just find somewhere else. Now, im sure Los Angeles has some very beautiful areas and that hasn't stopped me from wanting to go there. But me not being familiar with LA scares me. That's the only thing that holds me back from going. I don't want to end up in an area where i don't belong!

And being able to arrest or get rid of this problem or atleast minimize it so it's not such a huge threat is gonna be like finding a needle in a hay stack...........almost impossible!!!!!

Like, I mean Los Angeles is not all that bad. Theres a lot of shit to do and see. It's a pretty cool place to be in once you get over the fact that it's ghetto. Not like if everything in L.A. is crawling with cholos. Some parts are alright.

That is a pretty good Documentary. I saw it on MSNBC over the summer.

Lisa Ling has balls, there was a point in the film where one guy she was interviewing, said somewhere along the lines to " I could take you out right now" o algo asi... man, her face was flushed!! haha.. but they all seemed to respect her and the camera crew.
