First time in history for a Latina to win best acctress in a comedy series. :Clap:
LOS ANGELES - America Ferrera, who portrays perky but homely fashion magazine assistant Betty Suarez on the new ABC hit show "Ugly Betty," won the Emmy Award as best actress in a comedy Sunday.
It was the 23-year-old actress' first Emmy nomination and follows the show's first season on the air. Earlier this year, Ferrera won a Golden Globe award for her role.
