Yes, it is, but compared to other planets, and stars..it gets owned. I saw this in another website and I was just amazed on how crazy this was.

i love astronomy shit... i think its cuz i had to take it twice to be able to get that .5 science credit i needed in h.s to graduate lol but yea, that is cool how theres all these stars that literally leave the earth behind when it comes to size. that crazy how after they took pluto off the planet list they found something else that they think is another planet i never heard the name though
If you get a chance, take it.
If it changes your life, let it!

It's pretty amazing... also how that image kinda puts it into prospective, wow. Can you imagine if our planet was the size of the last star ( the biggest ) ? :whew:

That last picture is just incredible. The sun is like a little spec of sand compared to that last star.

The Sun has a radius 100 times that of the Earth which means that about 1,000,000 (1 million) Earths would fit into the Sun!

And yet is barely visible agaist the the huge star! ( Canis majoris )

Cool! Did you all read about the comet that exploded at the end of October?? It was visible to the 'naked eye', and could be seen even better if you had a pair of binoculars. I think you can still see it, if you Google it or look it up in Yahoo you'll find it and on Yahoo it give you directions on where to look, pretty neat. You may want to look soon, the moon is about to block your view.

Yep! It's fading compared to when it first happened. It's best seen here in Texas around 3 in the morning. I know, I know, who's gonna be up at that hour, but sometimes I just can't sleep, or I'm up studying.
