Tony Parker was angry when he first read the story that he had allegedly cheated on his new wife, Desperate Housewives' star Eva Longoria, but now he's just downright ticked off.
Parker, who is suing X17 Online for $20 million says the story the website printed regarding an affair between him and French Model Alexandra Paressant, was completely false. The San Antonio Spurs star claims he has never met the model in his life.
Court papers indicate that Parker is suing the gossip site for defame, stating that "X17 had to know that the story was false, or at the very least, it had to have entertained serious doubts about the credibility of its supposed source."
But X17 could have covered their asses (and potentially saved $20 million) if they just reported Tony's side of the story as well.
A rep for Parker says the basketball star was particularly upset because X17 never made an attempt to "verify the information with Mr. Parker, Ms. Longoria, any of their representatives or anyone else who might have knowledge of the truth or falsity of the allegations."
Eva stands by her husband, telling the press "Tony has been nothing short of the perfect husband."
