Attorney General: No driver's license for illegal immigrants Mike Cox MI Attorney General Created: 12/27/2007 6:52:14 PM Updated: 12/27/2007 6:53:37 PM LANSING - Michigan's attorney general says illegal immigrants can no longer get a state driver's license. Mike Cox's legal opinion overrules an opinion written in 1995 by former Attorney General Frank Kelley. Michigan is one of a handful of states in which illegal immigrants have been able to get driver's licenses. But Cox says people who aren't lawfully in the U.S. can't be residents of Michigan for the purposes of obtaining a driver's license. The opinion released Thursday may bolster efforts to create a new Michigan driver's license and state identification card. Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land has proposed a plan under which only those who are Michigan residents and legally in the U.S. would be able to get the new standard license. I dont think its right, just here in Holland there are alot of workers that need them and its not like the damn LAZY white people or who ever doesnt have to be white are going to do the jobs, the workers do! If you read the whole article,(which you should have put diana) he stated that : "Illegal Immigrants shouldn't be able to use licenses to find employment--"stealing jobs from michigan citizens."" FUCKERS like if they are going to work outside for 6.50 an hour! And it doesnt even have to be outside.... FUCKERS.... Current Mood: _________________ Es tan corto el amor y es tan largo el olvido.

i would have put the one from the newspaper but i couldnt find it on their website and look at the time i posted this, i had about 10 minutes to go home and hell no it wasnt enough time for me to type it all in. anyways, yea the one on the newspaper says that part about illegals taking the jobs from michigan citizens..... ppsshh yea right my ass!!! like if other people wanna go get a minimum wage paycheck. and the only reason illegals go look for work in these minimum wage jobs is because those are the employers that dont really care if these people have papers or not, or because they dont require as much education as college or even english to work in the fields! and because they know these people will do it, all because they need the money to support the family. trust me, been there done that! i've worked picking blueberries, planting cranberries in the fields, and if u know how that is done then u know its hard to bend over or be on ur knees all fucking day planting some damn plant that measures about 2 inches, and not to mention being in the sun while working, not for the pleasure of tanning like a bunch of white people do. man it just pisses me off how they wanna do this, its not fair. _________________ numeros para las cuentas la mano para el amigo caricias para las hombres balas pa' los enemigos

Well that is not going to stop anyone from finding jobs but it will make it a little more difficult to get hired. But Cox says people who aren't lawfully in the U.S. can't be residents of Michigan for the purposes of obtaining a driver's license. It's a really risky move and pretty dumb especially since Michigan's work force is hurting BAD... and they want to add more stress into Michigan's already hurt economy. Current Mood:

I think that driving licenses for ilegal immigrant because you going and getting a license means they would all know where you live and your a ilegal immigrant that would make it easier for deportation they are not good for opening accounts getting jobs etc. etc. the only thing they are good for are driving....if you get caught for example speeding they give a ticket you go to court and the judge sees that the you dont have any papers the state's judical system wll deport your ass so fast you would be in your home country the next time you blink so I disagree i think that for right there should be a "better" system of deportation our current system is too long and tedious. Im for immigrant reform that gives everybody ilegal immigrant papers but im against licenses for ilegals.but not against ilegal Reformation. Current Mood:
