Gracing the cover of the latest Newsweek issue is Amazon's CEO Jeff Bezos, who discusses a new ebook device called the and the The Future of Reading.
The revolutionary Kindle is said to have the dimensions of a paperback book and include a 6-inch E-ink screen powered by a battery that lasts up to thirty hours on a two-hour charge. Named after the ability to evoke the ignition of knowledge, the Kindle will also boast wireless connectivity similar to EVDO, so it will connect anywhere and everywhere! Book prices are said to start at $10, with more than 88,000 titles on sale when the Kindle officially hits store shelves. Additionally, users will also be able to subscribe to newspapers and certain blogs for a monthly fee.
I don't know about you, but I still can't seem to warm up to the idea of curling up with a plastic digital book for a bedtime reading session. Although I can see where it would come in handy. . . .What do you think?
This is sooo cool well for me that would mean no carrying more than 20 pound backpacks yay!! . . . .usually I have 2 leave my books in the car and get them on my way 2 another class

I am for anything that helps people read. Reading is knowledge, and knowledge with action is power. The human brain is just like muscle, and you exercise it by thinking, reading and writing. Not to long ago I saw a maintenance guy tearing out flowers, to replace them with new ones, and sadly this occurred at the college where I attend. I asked him a question about the flowers and his only reply was " they got to die," then he went back to pulling out more flowers.
Needless to say, I was absolutely shocked, by how articulate he was! I guess thats what I love about Juarol, is that here we are all trying to learn from each other, and that is Super Cool! I saw this saying once on a poster in school once, " The most brilliant light, cannot penetrate a closed mind!" And whenever I remember that little saying, I remember that guy,and I try to imagine how awful it would feel, to be about 40 years old and have the intelligence of a six year old.I feel that if he doesn't open up his mind pretty soon, and start reading, he may stay at the same IQ level, forever! Not good!
