hey now.... 040 LOL. girl you should have known.....we all have to get our sarcasm in some way or another. :boink:

on a serious note.... :mm: .....i clean the inside of my car all the time. I hate when it's dirty and dusty and gross. It's a big pet peeve of mine. And yeah...during the summer i wash my car myself when it's nice out because yeah...you can tell in the car wash it just leaves like a weird film on the windows or something. like it just didn't get cleaned right. but i don't even remember what i use to clean the tires and rims...i'll have to check when i go outside later. :doh!: My dad and sis use that Armor All or whatever....but i think i use something different...lol. you know....cause i know so much about cars....

:LMAO: Yeah, well I think w/o everyone's sarcasm my day just wouldn't be the same! I would be so freakin' bored  I know I can count on everyone here to make me laugh and smile at least once a day-sometimes to the point my side hurts. :LMAO:

It's alright, I just know everyone has their own way of doing things, cleaning things and their own cleaners they use, maybe something I don't know about, so I figured why not ask. :88: Thanks.

caker wrote::doh!: Oh, shit, I'm in trouble with this bunch!! :LMAO: Kidding you guys. Well I don't take my truck to the car washes because it never gets it clean the way I like it, and I've also been told they damage the car's paint. I wash them myself, wax them myself, clean the inside myself. That I do have to say, I clean the inside every 2-3 days-which it doesn't get too dirty inside because I'm usually by myself, but you know just dirt and dust from where the wind blows alot out here. As for the rims right now I just use basic soap and water. I'm not sure what to use. :jumm: Boss that Finish2001 is it a degreaser?? I'm thinking that's what I'm needing right now. Otherwise I use AmorAll for the tire and the inside.
mzbrownluv I hope you're doing alright and that your ride gets fixed soon! :paz:

My car gets washed once every 3 months. If it rains, then add an extra month to that.

I've gotta admit that on a more often than not basis, I go about it the Iris way: Rain

Otherwise I'll occasionally take it to one of those gas station/car wash places and have them do the inside & out to make up for all those days I didn't wash it.

Although, here in Vegas you dont need to wash it all that much.

Back when I lived in Denver I had to wash my vehicle all the time to get the salt off it because of all the stupid snow!

I know I'm asking for it  but here goes- It's snows rare to never here, so, what exactly does the salt do to your vehicle?? At most we use the salt for when it rains and is gonna start freezing, especially at the overpasses, underpasses and on I-20, but where I have to go doesn't require me to go near it. Can ya' explain?? :jumm:

it's really bad for the paint i guess. It ruins the top coat of it and just messes it all up. That's why you are supposed to wash it during the winter too because having that salt on there the whole time...isn't good for the paint.

sooooooooooooooooo.......... remembering WHY it's BAD for my car.....i guess i shouldn't opt out washing it the rest of the winter....LOL. :jumm: ***digs in purse for change**

And not to mention ruins the body because it leads to rust :?
I recommend those "touchless" car wash-- uses nothing but high-pressure water to clean your car/truck.
You might still have to manually clean those tires though!!
