Deep street's corner,
Where shadows creep.
Drugs hold hands
Of an addict's peak….

Misty haze in rising smells,
Itching rats and laughs of hell,
Dry mouth cotton no water wells.
Only the needle and it's liquid spell.

Deep street's corner,
The shadow follows.
This lonely addict
Who has no brother.

She has no life
Or so it seems.
But death is welcomed
Into her scene.

Deep street's corner,
Of dark and sorrow,
Death awaits the addicts hour.
To take away the ruined soul,
To live no more,
In her world so cold….
