I Just Got a New Monitor

I just upgraded from a 15" "tall" monitor to a 19" "wide," and it looks so much better, and it's a hell of a lot brighter--I have to don my locs. :cool:

Not sure how good it rates t other monitors--I know so damn little about computers--but it has to be better than what I had before.

I went to Best Buy; they had a ad for 19" wide Samsung for $209, but of course they were sold out. So I got an Acer for $229 instead--I hate to go to a store to buy something and leave empty handed. So yeah, they got me in with the ad for one thing and I left with something else. :doh!:

Very nice monitor Obsie. My brother recently bought one similar to that one and everything looks so much clearer and brighter.

You're right, but we have to treat ourselves every once in a while, right?
Besides, I've been wanting one for over a year now, and to get a flat panel 19" one for about $250 is a lot better than what they were going for a year or so ago. But just my luck, it will go on sale in a month. :poundingfists:

Well...its really a cointoss in my head...
either I can get a monitor....OR
buy a flat screen tv and get a hook up for it.
but tv's are more expensive

(atleast the ones i would want)
AND my laptop is my main computer right now.

just did my taxes though, i'm getting a good chunk of green back. sas
