I use to work for the city here and one of my (many) duties was billing (water) .. they were ALWAYS throwing their cost onto the people!! It just amazed me how many people didn't question their bills ..

Yes and then I see these mexican movies .. you know the ones - where they rape the women and girls, shoot their men and boys, and in the end EVERYone is dead, in a pool of blood - even the dog ..

Nah, it'd be okay for a bit .. if we were in a good place, I guess .. it's just that I have my doubts cuz my aunt and uncle have lived in Veracruz for years - they "look" mexican and speak FLUENT spanish and still have problems at times .. me and my kids look white, so I don't know what kind of "peace" we'd find there ..?..

Yea, you do get that alot in the lower part of Mexico, I swear even if you have light skin, they look at you like if they were going to kill you and again, its like anywhere...I went downsouth here in the states and they aint friendly if you aint got the blonde hair blue eyes...so, you know, am I making sense..? Pero Bueno, I know what you mean...When I was in the D.F. I was and may other places too...like in Chaipas my grandma told me stories about the Indians down there and how they would get American people and eat them, if they were true or not...who knows but they are mean.... We would get people telling us to leave and just being really nasty and thinking just because we are from the U.S. we has millions or something grrr... I hate that shit.... anyways..so yea....

Dang girl .. your grandma sounds like my mom's mother - she's gone now, but she was indian, and she use to tell us stories that were passed down from generation to generation - she use to scare the crap outta me with some of those damn stories - then my mom didn't really understand why I didn't like to go visit a whole lot ..

But I understand what you're saying about Mexico being like anywhere else .. I'm sure it is, I've just heard alot of things (mainly from my husband) of how "different" things are there, and in alot of ways, and so I'm a little afraid of going for a long period of time. Then cuz he's so "smart", now he's wanting us to go back to visit .. and I'm like "but you said" .." and he's like "nah, but it's okay" and I'm like " uhhh .." .. so yeah!! :doh!:
