Ok raza I was think we need to educate ourselves and to have some hard debate on politics I was thinking that a mock congress on senate or cabinet or....You guys get the idea but since i just thought on this i think I need some imput from you people. and how would we organize ourselves. The whole purpose its so we can get a feeling for politics in washington and to have political debate that really hits home so what do you people think.

WE ORGANIZE OURSELVES IN CELLS AND COLUMNAS

The base of an orginization should be comprised of positive numbers.(all in favor)-only.
These numbers would ultimately be the impact source for, and directly aimed at any POLITICAL venue-very much like cells and columns[saggitario] mentions..the columns will be the natl-regional reps. cells would be the embodiment within the columns' source.
There is no time for debate,or lobbist} agendas would need to be solidified as they come in from all points.-so as to avoid prolongation of solutions...unless this would be a game,and I'm feeling all gung-hoe?!
Umbrellas would be a neccessary form of empowerment,Amnesty Int. is one I can think of right off?
Combining cyber-boards directly responsible for answering to public/member concerns.
This would encourage a political stronghold in the Raza sectors on-line.
What a wonderful idea.

I think this is an exciting proposition, EL_GENERAL_REV. we can all definitely learn from this. Maybe as soon as my head is clear I can contribute to some ideas... althought politics is not my greatest strength.
I am intrested in what members ideas are on this also.

Ok people know we need to organize ourselves should we go with states?Include parties(hehe political parties) have elected official speaker of the house. minority leader lets have a vote

I'm not for splitting up into States because I may share more in common with someone per say from El Valle de Tejas more so than with a person who lives across town from me.

As a first topic for voting I would suggest something like . .

In regards to any future United Stated and Mexico Immigration agreements.

Should/Does Mexico on account of the stolen/lost territory, have more of a right to cross border immigration, more so vis-a-vis other nations?

Well I think that it should be parties then I think that we should have some people volunter starting parties


I volunteer to start the frist party:

The People's Democratic Party

our agenda:

pro-immigration reform

pro-choice

dont believe in owning high powered assault weapons

rather have peace than war

against the patriot act

Government should not monitor television or radio media should not be controlled.

believe in goverments should not meddle with foreign policy

also beleive that should always have a strong standing army with the latest technology possible does not matter the expense

believe in a complete separation of church and state Religion should not even be metioned with politics in the same sentence

Think that the people should have the complete authority of the government

small central government is the better government

You dont have to agree with all of our values.

Also I came up with a name for our group of parties i think that we shouls call ourselves the simply as the "The Senate"

all member should be called senadors and we need a moderator to be chancellor and so to keep arguments clean and non offensive.

also the biggest party will have to elect a Majority leader as well as the smaller party will elect a Minority leader if a party grows the minority will automatically become the majority leader with the approval of the 60% of their party

each "senator' will have the right to one post explaining their point

What was the voter turn out? Was there any others interested?
Both the above mentioned proposals are good-personally i feel that at this point and time an agenda with native base is the way to go. Tabla De Reforma Politica Indigena De Las Americas. T.A.R.P. wow i didn't even try on this one ,but anyway..
1.Acknowledgement of U.S born indigenous/native ppls heritages through oral claim.. (clause)-such as to not be denied right to carry pass down generationall etc. ceremonial items-medicineways,medicineplants access to these, legally binding absolute and soverign honor of paper permits.
2.Abolition of the Patriot act.
3.Abolition of I.C.E
4.Overall reform of the I.N.S. {to include recognition and honor humanitarian agendas.}
5. Overhaul of the educational System{to openly include indigenous thought and philosophy}so as to not have indigenous teachings as an elective.

OK people I am soon starting a New thread titled the "Juarol Senate" there we will move from the drawing board to a actual session as it might seem we are small and most people are unintrested with what we have to say but unite and and work together to make this senate educational and informative and also a place where we can have some fun.
