Since I posed the question, I'll answer first.

I consider myself MEXICAN more than anything.

Even though I am several generations removed from Mexican birth ancestors . .

and even though I was never raised nowhere outside of California . .

and even though I was born and came from Tejas . .

and even though I don't hold no allegiance to the Mexican Republic . .

and even though my espaÃ±ol leaves a lot to be desired . .

and even though my upbringing is in Chicano culture L.A. Style . .

and even though I don't see all things nor feel for things like a Mexican National would . .

and even though I would more than likely never make a living in Mexico . .

and even though I will probably never ever raise a family in Mexico . .

I am First and Foremost a MEXICAN at heart and mind!

No sugar coating what my color of skin and soul is truly!

Im latino mexican to be exact and ever since i got my greedcard that makes me mexican american. i was born in mexico but i don't know anything about mexico...all i know is mi gente..and for them i'll fight til the end ...so we can be equal in the land that divided n conquered us.

There's a big misunderstanding as to what some beleive "reclaiming of Aztlan" means.

True true, for many that is what is means, but in reality for many others it means re-claiming the rights to the land as equal rights as citizens of the land, complete with the right to culture, language, traditions and whatnot as agreed to under treaty when the border crossed us.

that's real. i know how chicanos feel...i am inbetween all of this...one for not being born in the US n 2nd for having family on both sides of the border. true militants in the United states are for UNITY..and that UNITY IS GREAT. Current Mood:

first they forced our ancestors to believe in a WHITE god. then, killed off 95% of our indegenous people with their dirty diseses and stolen technology, destroyed our families and out lawed our believes. now, they wanna go to foreing land and try to opress the people living there. all my life i heard people talking about the southwest US, fuk that shyt...inbetween all of this is lies NORTHERN MEXICO. We can no longer turn the clock back and ignore that today is a new reality. Globalization, economics, technology, politics, spiritual and religious beliefs are all far different than even a couple of decades ago. Today we must fight for UNITY versus A TOTALITARIAN GLOBAL ELITE!!! So no matter what Race or Ethnic group you claim for yourself or fit into, we must stand together or we will surely decline, and our offspring will continue to be enslaved in a world ruled by the FEW & POWERFUL White or otherwise!
