This speaks volumes about oneself. What do you consider yourself First and Foremost? 1. American 2. Hispanic/Latino 3. Mexican-American 4. Chicano 5. Mexican 6. Tejano 7. Indigena 8. Other Since I posed the question, I'll answer first. I consider myself MEXICAN more than anything. Even though I am several generations removed from Mexican birth ancestors . . and even though I was never raised nowhere outside of California . . and even though I was born and came from Tejas . . and even though I don't hold no allegiance to the Mexican Republic . . and even though my espaÃ±ol leaves a lot to be desired . . and even though my upbringing is in Chicano culture L.A. Style . . and even though I don't see all things nor feel for things like a Mexican National would . . and even though I would more than likely never make a living in Mexico . . and even though I will probably never ever raise a family in Mexico . . I am First and Foremost a MEXICAN at heart and mind! No sugar coating what my color of skin and soul is truly! NEXT ~> Current Mood:

Mexican-American No that you brought this up; I get alot of negative comments when ever I tell people that I'm Mexican. Comments like NO YOU NOT YOUR NOT FROM MEXICO and all that bullshit which really pisses me off! Why? Can anyone answer why people act like that? In some cases I just say Mexican but, I know the correct term is Mexican-American...aw DAMNIT I'M MEXICAN Current Mood: _________________ Es tan corto el amor y es tan largo el olvido.

i see ur point of view, and i can say i feel about the same way.
i consider myself mexican. i was born in mexico and brought over here when i was 7. i've had people tell me im mexican american, or chicana and i dont accept it. why, well because to me those that are that, are born here in the us, and i wasnt. thats the way i see it. might not be correct, but to me it is. if i ever had to go back to mexico i would, but it would be hard for me to get used to the way of living since im pretty sure it wont be the same as here, specially for us that were brought up here when we were little kids and had no choice but to come with out parents. many people would say well why dont u go back now that ur old enough to go away from them, but its easier said than done.

I consider myself Mexican not Mexican American, Latina, Chicana, you know anything like that because I know that in none of that I was born in Mexico I was brought her when I was 4 and all my parents fam is allover so I really donâ€™t get mixd up in all the traditions it kind of took me a long time to find out what I was because I mean I would say I couldnâ€™t call myself Mexican because I donâ€™t remember anything from where I was born and I cant call myself Chicana because I wasnâ€™t born here so i was just a mess . . . .recently ive been getting to know more of my background witch is kind of hard because there is not much on it and if there is its in tarasco and I cant understand that my family belongs to a indigenous group called P'urhÃ©pecha in the state of Michuacan so recently ive been trying to inform myself with traditions and the language but its not that easy . . . . . . I know where I come from but I donâ€™t know anything about it just kind of feel like I have no identity but all that will change for sure . . . . .so anyways back to the topic I consider myself Mexican . . . . . .simple as that Current Mood: _________________ Besitos

I consider my self as either mexican american or chicana..I was born here and grew up with mexican and american traditioons...and yea thats true about when a mexican american or chicano say there mexican...a peroson that was born in mexico like my vato would say ur not mexican ur chicana...I understand because alot of mexicans go through alot especially with all that junk on the news about illegal aliens..I hate dat shit...so fucking racist...How da hell is our gente aliens????
