"Faces of Death, also released under the title The Original Faces of Death, is a 1978 mondo film, lasting roughly 105 minutes, which guides viewers through explicit scenes depicting a variety of ways to die. It is often billed as Banned in 40 Countries, with that number varying with the years. The film has, in fact, been banned (at least temporarily) in New Zealand, Australia, Norway and Finland. The film was written and directed by John Alan Schwartz (credited as "Conan le Cilaire" for directing and "Alan Black" for writing). Schwartz was also the second unit director, credited this time as "Johnny Getyerkokov". He also appears in one of the segments in this film, as the leader of the alleged flesh eating cult in San Francisco area, and puts in cameo appearances in several other films in this series. This film stars Michael Carr as the narrator, and 'creative consultant' called "Dr. Francis B. Gröss."

I had forgotten that I had seen the movie before when I was 9 until the monkey sence at the 22 minute mark refreshed my memory......the pants that the reporter was wearing at the 29:11 minute mark are just criminal :LMAO:

It would be nice if a modern day version of this movie was made.

My dad used to watch those types of movies and one time I watched it when I was a little kid. Holy shit, I will never forget the faces of how those dead people looked. Up to this day, I still remember seeing them. The movie was really creepy but I managed to get through the whole thing.

I remember seeing one dude frozen to death in like some sorta pond or lake with his eyes popped out.....ugh. >_<

I think there is more than one film though, right?

I remember seeing the movie when it first came out "in the theatres", but i remember very little about it. I know it made an impact because the series on beta/vhs followed suit. The first one i think is the one where they put that live monkey in that table with his head sticking out and the two couples sitting around the table had these wooden mallets and pounded the shit out of his head, cracked it open and then ate the monkeys brain, right?

Damn, I don't think I ever saw that one..and if I did...it was a long ass time ago. These films really got to you because it wasn't make up or fake. This was actual real shit, real people dying...not acting...

I remember this one where some lady got in the water and came up with a huge ass leech that covered her entire arm and the cops couldn't get it off her..I could remember her screaming in agony too...thinking about it brings chills down my spine.
