I changed it a little bit so do you guy's think that us the latino/hispanic community are the new slaves of the white people since the system is always trying to keep the brown community down

Yeah I think they do. It's part of the cirriculum. (or however its spelled). I'm from Az and in US history we covered EVERYTHING.. I'm pretty sure they'd cover it too since the northern states were very much involved just like the rest

In Michigan we studied slavery. It is required curriculum in the public schools system. We studied every single year.

You will eventually learn that American whites where not the only ones that owened slaves. We owned a small percentage of slaves compared to the rest of the world. The Portuguese, French and Dutch owned and traded slaves. The Spanish empire also dominate the slave trade at one point.

First of all, the definition of 'slave' is someone who works without getting paid. This doesnt exisit in the United States anymore, and it was abolished a long time ago ;)
IMO, we are NOT victims in this country. Only you can bring yourself down. The color of my skin or my surname does not limit our possibilties.
Maybe its not the latino community that is being denied of rights but rather people who are not legal in this country, respectfully, they should ask that to the country where they are leaving if they are being denied and treated poorly. Just a little something to ponder....
