Amongst the ones that always tripped me out were WOODY WOODPECKER, WILY COYOTE, AND PEPE' LE PEW
Pepé's romantic episodes revolves around him pursuing a "skunk", who, unbeknownst to him, is a hapless black cat (retroactively named Penelope Pussycat) who inadvertently has a white stripe painted down her back (sometimes on purpose, sometimes accidental). While Penelope sometimes reciprocates his amorous feelings, she runs away from him anyway due to his putrid odor. But Pepe' never gives up and while Penelope Pussycat puts it in high gear to place distance between herself and Pepe, he nevertheless never really takes no for an answer and goes after her happily and casually bouncing hoppity hop after her, and when he catches up with her, bam, smothers that cat with kisses and poetic lovey dub justice. HA!
