Fate

Everyone searches for love,
while I just sit here and wait.
There's no need to push or shove,
when you believe in fate.
My soulmate is out there,
we'll be united one day.
And if God separates us,
We'll meet in heaven again.
I've had lots of lovers,
and they were all great people.
But they aren't the one,
because their efforts were feeble.
Our differences split us,
because our love wasn't equal.
They didn't want to make it work,
instead they all became quitters.
I can't be mad, or bitter
I've learned to accept things.
True love has infinite sequels,
cause true love lacks an ending.
My soulmate and I
will make up after every fight.
We'll smile to each other,
even when things aren't going right.
So maybe my love won't come,
this minute, this hour, or tonight.
But, it is inevitable,
that we'll meet in this lifetime.

People find it amuzing.

I try not to over think my poetry, because then I feel like it doesn't come straight from the heart. I like my shit to be as raw as possible.
